Groovy

This groovy pink seaglass necklace has an amethyst, ruby, blue topaz and sapphire set into the glass. It is bezel set AND wirewrapped in sterling silver. You can wear the chain and the pendant separately but I must say that chain is the perfect companion. The chain measures 24” long. The pendant is 2 ¼” x 1 ¼” long.

Seaglass Squared

There is a frosted white bottle top with a round pebble of bottle green seaglass linked together in this pendant. It is strung on smooth organically shaped quartz teardrops that are the perfect intensity to bring the whole piece together beautifully. It is a necklace that you could dress up or dress down. There is a tiny facetted topaz gemstone set into the green seaglass. The back of the necklace has chain link to make it comfortable and adjustable. It is a sterling silver piece. The pendant measures 2” x 7/8”.

Lace Ruff in Navy

The height of fashion in the period of 1550-1600 is characterized by increased opulence and the rise of the ruff. You know the ruff, that fluffy collar worn by women of wealth in old paintings. Here is my version of the ruff in a modern, wearable, fun version for the year 2012! This piece has a handmade glass bead by Lisa joy Sachs teamed with one of my smooth piece of lapis lazuli set in fine and sterling silver. This pendant is strung with azurite malachite beads and tiny onyx accents to 16.25" long. The pendant measures 2' x ¾" long.

Fraternal Twins

This necklace has a seafoam green seaglass piece teamed with a lavender seaglass piece. The tiny gemstones set into the seaglass are amethyst and blue topaz. Each tiny gem has a tiny gold 14k bezel around it. The necklace is sterling strung with sterling wave beads and facetted amethysts and blue topaz beads. It measures 18 ½” in length. The pendant is 1 ½” x 5/8”.

Gemstone Flowers

This necklace has 23 fancy, facetted, flower cut gemstones made of blue chalcedony, citrine, amethyst, onyx, and garnets. It is strung with matched up peridots of different shapes and sizes and accents of many other gems for proper spacing. It is approximately 16 ¼”.

Cool Shapes Seaglass Necklace

This necklace has a beer bottle brown piece of glass and a bluish-green seaglass dangling from it. The shapes work really well together and I also enjoy the negative spaces visually. I have set a blue topaz accent in the top piece and an amethyst, pyrope garnet and spessertite garnet in the dangling piece. It is strung on a sterling silver daisy chain. The chain and the pendant can be worn independently from each other. It is strung to 17.5” with a lobster claw clasp. The pendant measures slightly under 2 1/8” x 7/8”.

Boomarang

So lately I have been stuck on all of this mid-century modern designed stuff, furniture, pottery, vintage cool retro stuff. This is my tribute to my new hobby of collecting old groovy things. It boasts a pink boomarang shaped piece of seaglass (found that way in Vinalhaven, Maine) with a coordinating facetted watermelon tourmaline dangle. I have set a genuine ruby in the seaglass. It is dancing on a sterling silver figure eight chain with hot pink tourmaline facetted gemstone stations added for interest. It is 19 ½” long. The pendant measures approximately 1 ¾” x 1 ½”. It is truly a one of a kind.

Natural Maine Shaped Seaglass!

I can't believe this beautiful icy blue seaglass was tumbled by the ocean right into the shape of Maine! I have set it very simply in sterling silver and accented it with rhodolite garnet, ruby, topaz, and amethyst flush set into the seaglass. It is strung on freshwater, cultured, color-enhanced potato shaped pearls. The pearls and the pendant may be worn independently from one another. It is strung to 17”. The pendant measures 1 5/8” x 7/8”.

Lindsay's Influence

When I had my Bar Harbor gallery, a few years back, I had a summer apprentice who had a fresh perspective of design, having had no previous formal training.

While this piece is purely of my own design and creation, I can see that the chain on this piece would not have been part of my repertoire if I never worked with Lindsay. The pendant is frosty white seaglass with a blue topaz, black spinel, and pyrope garnet flush set into it. The glass is then set in sterling silver and strung on silver beads with a hearty dose of facetted squatty moonstone briolettes and black seed pearl accents. The chain part is adjustable from 15” to 17 ½”. It hangs like a unique lariat because of how the beads drop down from the chain. Measuring from the top of the moonstone area to the bottom is 3 ¼” x 1 3/8”.

This is a sweet, casual white seaglass necklace with peridot, citrine, and rhodolite garnet set into the glass. The seaglass is set in silver. It is bezel set and wire-wrapped! The tiny facetted stones have little 14k gold bezels. The length of this necklace is about 17 ¼” and the pendant measures 1 3/8” x ¾”.
