Warm Multigem Bracelet

Red and peach color enhanced fresh water cultured pearls, mandarin spessertite garnets, pink tourmalines and blue sapphires. The clasp is sterling silver. It is signed.

Bubbles

This jasper bead has a blue green body color with a whitish bubble pattern. It's amazing what mother nature can do. It is an organic focal stone with a cavity that has druzy crystals inside. I just had to use pearls because of the “white bubbles” and that gave it a more refined look as pearls always do. (except for the Wacky Wonky Pearl Necklaces)

So I added marquis cut rare blue-green facetted stones and the spikey design is reminescent of what I call the Cave Girl look. Then I added smooth round apatites that really do look like drops of water. So the overall look is eclectic, sort of cave girl meets the queen. Please specify length as it has not been tied off yet. The clasp is a 14k spring ring clasp. It is strung on an extremely flexible wire.

Silver and Gold

This design is truly romantic, although not delicate in scale. The focal bead is a grayish silver 1” x ¾” jasper with tiny flecks of what look like gold dust inside. It’s subtle but you can’t miss it when you examine the stone closely. This gold and silver dusted look is what inspired the rest of the design. As the old song goes, everyone wishes for silver and gold…

so I have used both precious metals as accents in this design, and added white and gold color enhanced, freshwater cultured pearls. In order to play up the silvery gray and add subtle color, I added the highest quality smooth labradorite teardrops with outstanding blue and green flash! This is one of my favorite necklaces of the Jasper collection. It is strung to 18.5 inches, the back turns into potato shaped pearls which you get only a glimpse of in the photo. The fiber used for stringing is a durable synthetic fiber that moves like silk but doesn’t shred, stretch, or fray like silk. It has a sterling spring ring clasp.

Fast

This is like a fast windsurfer! Big (1 5/8 inches x 5/8 inch) boulder opal “sail” with lots of lavender, red, and green pin fire is teamed with a large (1 ¾ inch X 3/8 inch) ritcherite cabochon “hull.” Ritcherite is a gemstone that is very hard to find, let alone in this gem quality and size! The total pendant size is 2 ½ inches x 1 ¾ inches x 3/8 inch. It is strung on smooth tanzanite roundel beads. It is a one of a kind, hand formed and fabricated marriage of metals. The bezels are 22k gold. I have made the underbezel on the top stone of 14k gold and the underbezel on the bottom stone of sterling silver. It is strung with a 14k lobster claw clasp to about 16” inches in length on a durable synthetic fiber that moves like silk but doesn't stretch, shred or fray like silk.

It is strung on facetted neon blue, rich, deep apatite facetted beads. The size of the pendant is about 1 ¼ inches x 1 inch x 1/8 inch. It is strung to about 18” in length on a durable synthetic fiber that moves like silk but doesn't stretch, shred or fray like silk.

Simple Sophistication

This necklace is reversible. Now I will run off on a tangent…

Do you know the work of Marlene Hausner? She is a clothing designer from Massachusetts and her line is called “Cut & Paste” Well, she makes these amazing vests and jackets out of the most wonderful textiles (great colors and a multitude of textures.) They have all of these tags and widgets hanging off that allow you to wear them in a whole bunch of different ways. All of her jackets are reversible and I am her biggest fan.

I have one of her sophisticated vests that coordinate with this necklace perfectly but I don’t want to hold out on you guys so it’s up for grabs. Ok, now that that’s off of my mind, I will talk about the necklace. This is a ¾” jasper bead that has a mostly olive side with a tad of black with white spots, the other side is a mottled design of black, white and gold. I’ve strung it on facetted black spinels and dark olive peridots, which are hard to find now but I got them a long time ago. The combination is to me, very NYC. It is strung just under 16.5” on a durable, flexible wire with a 14k gold spring ring clasp.

The wave beads are sterling silver and the flower beads are solid 22k gold with 14k gold balls around each slice. I love the look and freedom to mix metals. The style of the clasp is a lobster claw.

Butterscotch and Gumdrops

I made this unique line of necklaces that mixes unusual pieces of jasper with sparkly facetted gemstones. This one looks like candy. The butterscotch jasper pendant has a subtle line of pink running through it. I’ve used tons expensive high quality smooth tourmaline drops, and translucent faceted jasper beads.

I know the photo doesn’t show the whole necklace so I will describe what happens where the photo ends. The pattern continues. After every 10 translucent earth tone facetted jasper beads there are four very nice pinks and green tourmaline smooth drops. As you go toward the back, the colors of the tourmalines include more darker greens than pink. It is very pretty. The length is 19.5 inches and is strung on a durable synthetic string that moves like silk but won’t shred, stretch, or fray like silk.

Vertical Wave in 14k Gold

This vertical wave design is one of my oldie but goodies, although my chances to make them are few and far between because they are surprisingly labor intensive. Making them is relatively easy but, stringing them is frustrating and very challenging. I still make them from time to time when life seems too easy. I won’t mention all my secrets about the construction here on the World Wide Web, but there isn’t a flexible needle in existence that will go through this many curves. The stones in this piece are amethyst, white topaz, peridot, blue topaz, and pink tourmaline. The pendant is 14k gold and measures about 1.5 inches by .5 inch. It is strung to 17.5 inches with pink freshwater, cultured, corn shaped pearls and micro facetted rhodolite garnet accents at regular intervals. The style of the clasp is a lobster claw.
