Petite Watermelon Tourmaline Wave
Twenty Three petite smooth watermelon tourmaline slices are in the front of this necklace. They are each separated by a combination of teeny tiny peach seed pearls. The back of this necklace is complimented by flower and peach seed pearls with 14k gold wave beads, and a lobster claw clasp. This piece is strung to 17 inches on durable, flexible wire which holds it's shape and helps the tourmaline to lie properly.

Rhodochrosite, Tourmaline and Pearl Necklace in 14K Gold
Please allow me to ramble. When I was attending FIT, during my first year of jewelry college, about 15 years ago, mom and I met the owner of the only real producing rhodocrosite mine in Argentina. I can't remember how it happened but we made many trips to his NY office to purchase rhodocrosite. I have pounds of it! Most of them are beautiful polished free forms similar to this one. I'm not sure why I don't see rhodocrosite too often anymore, Are there problems at the mines or scarcity? If anyone knows, please email.

Anyway, once I discovered facetted stones and gold, my work changed and I didn't really design much with the specimen stones like I used to. Part of the problem was keeping the price reasonable. They are large beautiful stones. Once you wrap gold around them it becomes cost prohibitive. So the rhodocrosite waited patiently.
As those of you who have supported me from the start remember, I've been incorporating beads into my work from the beginning. The reason I initially used gemstone beads is not only were they beautiful, but they were practical. As a struggling designer who couldn't afford buying lots of gold chains for stock. I discovered I could provide my customer with a whole necklace instead of just a pendant by using beads and pearls, which at the time were more affordable than gold chains. The look was original and my customer got a bonus for the same cost of just the pendant!
I love the feverish bead trend in the country because it has allowed me to find the most beautiful beads to use in my work, and the quality of beads being produced is astounding. It also gave me the idea to turn my freeform rhodocrosite gemstones into beautiful beads so I can offer them to you affordably. It used to be hard to find high quality gemstone beads because the cutters saved the best material for facetted stones. Now, the sky is the limit as you can see by the fancy cut, high quality gemstone beads I'm using, like the facetted gradient peachy pink tourmalines in this rhodocrosite necklace. There are no boundaries anymore. Yippy!

Trio Brio
This is a soft, pastel neutral trio brio necklace. The colors are pinkish, tanish, mauvy fawn colors .It is very hard to describe this neutral feminine palette.

Seashell
I received a bead making lesson from Lisa Joy Sachs at her studio. This is one of the beads I made. It resembles a seashell. The colors are soft and earthy in pink, coral, and tan. Therefore, I have strung it with fine gradient cinnamon zircons and peach tourmaline facetted beads. There are two gold color enhanced fresh water cultured pearls accenting the glass shell. The gemstone beads are extremely good quality. The length of the necklace is 19.5 inches. It has a 14k gold lobster claw clasp and is strung on a durable synthetic string that moves like silk but won’t shred, stretch, or fray like silk.

Mardi Gras
This 1.5 inch hand blown glass bead was made by fellow artist, and my very dear friend, Lisa Joy Sachs. I have strung it with lots of uncommon beads, including chrome tourmaline, spessertite garnets, amethyst, and fresh water, cultured, color enhanced purple pearls. Mottled Maroon Jasper Necklace
I designed this unique line of necklaces that mixes unusual pieces of jasper with sparkly facetted gemstones. This particular jasper has a maroon and cream mottled affect.

It is strung with pretty facetted purple fluorite polyhedrons, tiny facetted rhodolite garnet beads and maroon color enhanced, egg shaped, freshwater cultured pearls. Picture Jasper Paddle Necklace
This is my favorite of the jasper necklace line. The pattern of the stone is so pretty and the colors are very rich.

There was a quartz crystal pocket within the smooth crystal face. Although the natural pocket was very pretty, I couldn’t resist bezel setting a tiny ruby inside just to add a little punch of intensity! I have strung the smooth picture jasper with high end sparkly chrome tourmaline facetted briolette beads. They give the necklace nice articulation because they move like little paddles when worn. There are also 14k gold accent roundels and lobster claw clasp. The beads that finish the necklace are subtle multi colored earth tone (browns and greens) translucent jasper beads. It is strung on a durable synthetic string that moves like silk but won’t shred, stretch, or fray like silk.

I can get lost in the 6mm princess cut bicolor tourmaline stone on the bottom of this infinity necklace. The top stone is a beautiful 5.5mm brilliant cut saturated green tourmaline and to top it off, even the facetted beads are bicolor! It is the subtleties in the details that I take pride in my work and this is a perfect example. Carmen Veranda
Sometimes the pendants I make are figurative, like people sketches using stones. It is abstract, but it has been pointed out to me every so often by customers and I agree. This necklace looks like Carmen Veranda. Or if you have a sense of humor, it reminds me of the I Love Lucy show where Lucy dresses up like a showgirl with a big basket of fruit on her head! But seriously, while it is an unusual one of a kind design, it contains significant stones.

A prong set, beautiful rust and gold 17mm x 15mm slice of tourmaline with a 12mm x 7mm marquis cut rich rust tourmaline bezel set in 22k gold. At the bottom there is a 6mm round brilliant cut citrine. The total pendant length is 1.75” x 1”. The beads are all fancy sapphires in beautiful gradient colors of earthy tones. It is 16’ long, double stranded with a bulls eye clasp.

Dichroic Glass and Tourmaline Double Strand Bracelet
The clasp on this piece is so beautiful, you can wear it on top of your wrist! There is a lovely piece of dichroic glass bezel set on top of the box style clasp. It has shimmering colors of yellow, lime, and teal with a peach “fire” across the top.

The clasp is sterling silver, but I’ve used 22k gold flower beads so feel free to wear it with silver or gold rings. The multicolor beads are high end tourmaline facetted beads, in all the colors that coordinate with the dichroic glass. This is quite a statement and would be perfect to wear with Tams’ Caribbean necklace.

All exceptionally well matched, even better than the photo because the lighting makes one look darker than the other but they are the same! The pink and champagne are facetted tourmaline briolettes, the lighter stones are facetted aquamarine teardrops. 14k gold construction.
