Preppy

The beads in this necklace are smooth quartz crystals, rubies, apatite, facetted amethyst, and tiny sterling silver balls. You’ll notice that the colorful bead segments are a recurring theme in my work, but the elongated oval smooth quartz beads add an element of surprise. I feel this color combination is very “preppy” and think it could go from the golf course on a warm July day to dancing in Bar Harbor on a Saturday night. It’s strung to 16.5 inches with a sterling spring ring clasp on a durable synthetic string that moves like silk but won’t shred, stretch, or fray like silk.
