Valentine’s Necklace 2006

Every year I make one Valentine Necklace. The colors of this year’s pick are soft and romantic. The Pendant is a 26mm x 10mm Australian opal bead that has a peach body color with some boulder showing through one side. The tan/brown boulder and the peach body color work well together. When it catches the light it flashes teal, purple, and a hint of green. I’ve chosen color enhanced freshwater cultured peach and plum pearls to mimic the stone’s body color and fine facetted blue zircons and deep amethyst to tie in the opalescence. It’s a simple design in which the pattern repeats about every three inches. The full length is 17.5 inches.
