Lisa Joy (my best friend and companion
in Tucson) actually found this Australian
artist and stone cutter. For me it is a match
made in heaven. He did not have these black
opal beauties in his cases, but Lisa is such
a talker that she got him to pull out all
of his back stock for an exclusive showing.
I picked up a few of these designer black
opal free form beads. I’m confident
that you wont see them anywhere else and they
are truly one of a kinds. This piece has a
lot of character, it is a grey body color
with concentric circles and lots of orange
flash. It is strung to 17.5” on facetted
fancy sapphire roundels. The clasp is 18K
gold.
